PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for a cathode-ray tube, having improved electromagnetic-wave shielding properties and antireflection properties. SOLUTION: A panel for a cathode-ray tube comprises, on the outer surface of its panel glass 10, as the first layer, an SiO2 thin film 11 of thicknesses from 1500 to 2500Å, as the second layer, an SnO2 thin film 12 of thicknesses from 1000 to 1500Å, as the third layer, an SiO2 thin film 13 of thicknesses from 500 to 800Å, and as the fourth layer, an SiO2 thin film 14 composed of fine SiO2 particles 15 forming many recesses and projections. Each SiO2 particle 15 is uplifted at its periphery 16 and flattened as its center 17. |
