PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display document data which are easy for a user to see on a reception side of an electronic mail system, etc., by removing a line feed character inserted forcibly into document data on a transmission side. SOLUTION: A receiving processing part 420 receives the document data sent from a transmissions-side device. A syntax analysis part 422 decides whether a line feed character was inserted intentionally by a writer or forcibly inserted by the transmission-side device by paying attention to a letter character and a symbol character before and after the line feed character included in the received document data according to a rule characteristic of a Japanese document, and informs a carriage-return character deletion part 424 of the decision result. The line feed character deletion part 424 deletes the line feed character which was forcibly inserted by the transmission-side device according to the decision result of the syntax analysis part 422 and displays the document. |
