PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring the resistance of an airway which enables not only simple, compact and economical production with a very short opening-closing time but also simple replacement and washing of a flow rate sensor. SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for measuring the resistance of an airway by an interrupter method is provided with a housing 2 having an air path 3 and a closure mechanism 5 to temporarily close the air path 3. The closure mechanism 5 is made operable by a drive means 8. The drive means 8 is arrayed and/or designed to allow acceleration to an effective state from a rest position under non-load condition. In the effective state, the drive means 8 is engaged with the closure mechanism 5 to move the closure mechanism 5 to a closed position from a home position. In such a structure, it is necessary that the drive means 8 has a certain amount of energy when the drive means 8 is engaged with the closure mechanism 5. |
