PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double container for filling foods and drinks having an inner container of superior heat resistance and cold and impact resistance in a manner of producing good yield at low cost. SOLUTION: A double container 8 is constituted of a paper outer container 1 having both faces coated with plastic films and a plastic inner container 4 fitted in the outer container. The inner container 4 is formed by vaccum air-pressure forming a single layer sheet composed of a given polyethylene naphthalate copolymer which is extrusion molded, and the wall thickness of a body section 2a and a bottom section 2b is in the range of 100-200μm. As the above-referred copolymer, a material containing naphthalene dicarboxylic acid of 70-30 molar %, terephthalic acid of 30-70 molar % as acidic components and ethylene glycol as an alcohol component and having the intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-0.8 is used.
