<p>PURPOSE:To provide a discharge breakdown recording medium having a protective layer taking continuity without being reduced in thickness in order to hold chemical resistance and preservability and capable of performing uniform and sharp printing. CONSTITUTION:A metal membrane layer 3 and a protective layer 4 consisting of two or more kinds of non-compatible resin varnishes are successively laminated on a base material and, since the protective layer 4 is a non-insulating layer, electrical continuity can be obtained between the return electrode (earth electrode) being the opposed electrode of a recording head (recording needle) and the conductive metal membrane layer and discharge breakdown recording can be performed without generating earth return. Since it is unnecessary to reduce the thickness of the protective layer, weatherability sufficient to protect a medium is provided without lowering the abrasion resistance and chemical resistance of the protective layer.</p> |
