<p>PURPOSE: To use a device for various diameter size and/or stripping operations for at least two coating layers, over as wide a range of electric conductors or optical cables as possible and to hold it radially very closely to a cutting tool. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a stopper for an inserted electric conductor or an optical cable 10, and a fixing clamp 11 fixes one at its longitudinal position and a centering chuck 9 arranged very dose to the cutting tool 8 fixes the other at its radial position. Further, the centering chuck is able to move independently of the radial movement path of the cutting tool at a part of the radial movement path of the centering chuck for pressing the electric conductor or optical cable radially by a device, which operates elastically and under the control of a program device, one stripping cutting tool which can rotate around the axis of the electric conductor or the optical cable is cut in at least two previously selectable radial positions of the coating layer, thereby peeling at least the two coating layers of the electric conductor or the optical cable.</p> |
