<p>PURPOSE:To provide an incinerator which has a high treatment capacity for soot and dust or acidic gas, can save energy, and has a long useful life by a method wherein water is ejected to the passage of a combustion gas, powdery or granular alkali is introduced to the passage of the cooled combustion gas, and the combustion gas is filtered by a fabric. CONSTITUTION:On the outside of a plurality of internal pipes 32 of a cooling tower 12, water is ejected from a water ejecting nozzle 34, and by doing so, a combustion gas which passes through the internal pipes 32 is cooled. An alkali introducing port 13 from which a powdery or granular alkali can be introduced is provided on a passage 11b of the combustion gas which is cooled by the cooling tower 12. An acidic gas such as hydrogen chloride, etc., in the combustion gas is neutralized/removed by being mixed/coming into contact with the alkali in the passage 11b from the alkali introducing port 13 to a fabric 15 and in a bag filter tower 14, or coming into contact with the alkali which is adhered to the fabric 15.</p> |
