摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a vehicle by forming a bead part projecting to the cushioning part side on the locking leg of a latch. SOLUTION: The outer surface of a latch 6 is covered with a cushioning part 16, a bead part 20 extending from the end part 18 of a locking leg 11 to the vicinity of the rotational center 19 is provided on the opposite face 17 side of a base plate 3, and the height of the bead part 20 is set not to be larger than the thickness of the cushioning part 16. Next when force in the P-direction is applied to a lock device by a striker 2, the force in the P-direction is wholly applied to the locking leg 11, the latch 6 is inclined so as to contact with the plate 3, thereafter the base plate 3 together with the latch 6 are deformed, but because the section modulus of the locking leg 11 is large due to the bead part 20, the strength is high and the deformed quantity is small, and it can bear the large force by cooperation with the base plate 3. Hereby, the high load in the P-direction can be borne, even at collision of a vehicle breakdown of the lock device and opening of an opening/closing body can be obstructed, and hence safety of the vehicle can be improved.</p>
