摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To attain sure decoding processing by terminating decoding processing for one page on the condition of recognition of an end in the main scanning direction and recognition of an EOI marker or a DNL marker so as to prevent the decoding processing of one page from being finished before the decoding processing of all blocks is finished. CONSTITUTION:A Huffman coding part 120 decodes coded data stored in a code memory 101 and coded by the JPEG base line coding system in the unit of picture data for one color for one block of 8X8 size through processing means of quantization processing, zigzag scanning and Huffman coding. A main scanning direction counter 103 counts the number of picture elements in the main scanning direction and outputs a carry signal when the processing is advanced up to the end in the main scanning direction. A subscanning direction counter 107 provides an output of a carry signal when data are decoded by the number of lines in the subscanning direction designated by an SOF marker. A decoding part 120 terminates decoding processing for one page by recognizing the output of the carry signal from the counters 103, 104.</p>
