PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the numbers of parts and assembling processes of a relay box and to improve waterproofing ability of the box. SOLUTION: A relay box is provided with a main body 11, to which a relay 40 is fixed through a connector 30 and a lid body 20 which is put on the main body 11 and constitutes a box body 10 for housing the relay 40, together with the main body 11, when the body 22 is put on the main body 11. A main body- side lead wire holding piece 21a, having a partially notched cylindrical shape having a vertically opened notch and a lid body-side lead wire holding piece 21a which is lightly press-fitted in the piece 21a and has a partially notched cylindrical shape, are respectively formed on the main body 11 and lid body 22 and lead wires 34a-34d connected to the connector 30 are led out through a lead wire holding pipe 21, formed when the piece 21b is lightly press-fitted in the piece 21a. Since the contacting surfaces of the pieces 21a and 21b forming the lead wire holding pipe 21 adhere to each other elastically and closely, the sealing ability of the pipe 21 is high. Therefore, the waterproofing measure to be taken against pipe 21, which is the leading out port of the lead wires 34a-34d, can be omitted or simplified. |
