PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a camera main body to any camera head part even if a connection cable length changes by detecting a phase difference between a CCD driving signal by means of delay occurred by the inter-line capacitance of a connection cable and an original driving signal at the time of occurrence and generating a sample-and-hole pulse fitted to a CCD video signal received based on the phase difference. SOLUTION: The separated head CCD camera is constituted of a camera head 1, the camera main body 10, and a multicore cable 3 connecting the camera head 1 and the camera main body 10. The original oscillation pulseϕH17 of a horizontal driving signal detecting phase delay quantity and the return pulseϕH"18 are compared. The delay quantity of the signal, which occurs by the inter-line capacitance of the multicore cable 3, is detected and the pulse width is sent to a phase correction circuit 6 as a phase correction signal 22. A delay line which can vary delay quantity in accordance with voltage is provided in the phase correction circuit 6 and it operates to delay the input signal byΔt.
