摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the novel subject compound which is readily available by using a non-chiral polyamine(imine) dendrimer as a raw material and has a major role in the catalyst in the following reactions without anxiety of racemization. SOLUTION: This novel compound is a dendritic nitrogen-containing organic compound bearing a planar chiral group which is represented by the formula: (R<1> R<1> )N-X-N(R<1> R<1> ) [R<1> is (R<2> R<2> )N-(CH2 )2 -(R<2> is H or the like)], typically an amine bearing a planar chiral group of which the structure is represented by the formula (=N is a nitrogen atom of a Schiff's base; R<12> and R<13> are H, a 1-22C alkyl), typically 5-formyl-4-hydroxy[2, 2]paracylclophane (abbreviated to FHPCP hereinafter). The objective amine is prepared by condensation reaction of FHCPCP with a dendritic polyamine in an organic solvent suitable at room temperature in the presence of a dehydrating agent using the Dean- Stark trap and boiling the reaction mixture at the refluxing temperature under the normal pressure, then removing an excessive amount of FHPCP and washing the product with hot methanol several times.
