PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech system in which line connection control is conducted depending on whether or not a caller is a specific party. SOLUTION: The system includes a transmission station 2 that receives speech data sent from a caller telephone set 1 and sends the data to a called telephone set 8 via an internet B and two called stations 5 or over which receive speech data sent from the transmission station 2 via the internet B and sends speech data to a called telephone set 8 with a telephone number included in the speech data. Membership identification information sent from the caller telephone set 1 is compared with membership identification information stored in advance in a membership information management station 9 and the connection control of a line between the caller telephone set 1 and the transmission station 2 is conducted depending on the discrimination result.
