PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of key input and to permit everyone to easily use a document editing device by editing a document corresponding to input which is executed at first and input to a display means in a handwriting input means after a prescribed display is executed. SOLUTION: When a transparent touch panel 6 provided in front of the display screen 51 of a display device is touched by a pen for handwriting input, the position is detected, is converted into position information and is transmitted to a document editing processing circuit. The document editing processing circuit converts position information into the character position and gives a command to the display device to display a cursor 7 on the position and transmits an editing command input command to a handwriting character recognition circuit. When the handwriting character recognition circuit receives the input command, it considers a head character pattern transmitted next from a handwriting pad to be one of defined editing command characters so as to recognize the characters. The document editing processing circuit executes a document editing processing corresponding to the editing character code and displays a result on the display device. |
