PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medictinal agent containing an extract from a plant belonging to Labiatae as an active ingredient, and enabling potentiation of hyaluronic acid production in cells or tissues. SOLUTION: This medicinal agent contains an extract from a plant belonging to Labiatae (e.g. the genus Isodon, Origanum, Mentha, Ajuga, Leonurus, Perilla, Prunella, Schizonepeta, Rosmarinus, Scutellaria, Lavandula, Ocimum, Thymus, Salvia). The proportion of the active ingredient to be formulated in this medicinal agent as a whole is 0.0001-20wt.% on a dry basis, or 0.004-100vol.% on a liquid extract basis. This potentiator, which is highly safe, is usable in medicines, quasi drugs, cosmetics, etc., its daily dose being 0.01-100mg/kg body weight in one to four portions. |
