PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition containing an N-long chain- acylalanine (salt), etc., and an imidazoline amphoteric surfactant in a specific ratio, excellent inn washability, little in irritation against skins and hair, and good in foamability, foam retainability, foam quality and touch. CONSTITUTION:The composition comprises (A) an N-long chain-acylalanine (salt) or an N-long chain-acylthreonine (salt) and (B) an imidazoline amphoteric surfactant of the formula [R<1> is 8-22C alkyl, -(CH2)nNHCOR<2> (R<2> is 7-21C alkyl; (n) is 1--5)] in an A/B weight ratio of 99.5/0.5 to 40/60 (preferably 90/10 to 80/20). (C) An 8-22C higher fatty acid salt is preferably further added to the composition in an A/B weight ratio of 99.5/0.5 to 0.5/99.5 (especially 99/1 to 50/50). |
