EVALUATION OF CERAMIC POWDER AS PRODUCTION MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable evaluation of reactivity of a ceramic powder material with other materials by evaluating reactivity of the powder material in the single powder form with other materials by taking advantage of the degree of decrease in its specific area when the powder material alone is heated. SOLUTION: This evaluation of reactivity of a ceramic powder material comprises heating a ceramic powder material alone at 500-1500 deg.C without mixing the powder material with other materials, and evaluating the powder material as sufficiently reactive with other materials when the decrease of the specific area after heat treatment is 5% or more. This evaluation of reactivity can be used as a control item in the production of the ceramic powder material.
