<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air classifier in which, aggregates of toner particles with fine powder and the like is effectively crushed just before or right after their entry the classifier. SOLUTION: In an air classifier for jetting raw material powder to a classifier body, being laden on an air current flowing in a raw material feeding pipe, thereby performing classification, a raw material feeding pipe immediately in front of the classifier body is provided with a truncated cone-shaped vent pipe so that the opening sectional area of the truncated cone-shaped vent pipe may be decreased toward the downstream side of the feeding pipe. A minimum opening sectional area S1 of the vent pipe is 20-30% of a maximum opening sectional area S0 thereof, and an angleθbetween the axis line of the vent pipe and the generating line is 10-30 deg..</p> |
