<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering oil from a waste plastic by which spaces for installing a process for dechlorination and a process for thermal degradation are reduced and the waste plastic is efficiently conveyed. SOLUTION: This method for recovering oil from a waste plastic is performed by using an apparatus constituted of a dechlorination furnace 1 for mixing the waste plastic with a high temperature sand, heating the mixture at 250-350 deg.C to produce a treated material comprising a mixture of the waste plastic from which chlorine is substantially removed and the sand, and a heating and degrading furnace 2 for mixing the treated material with the high temperature sand and/or an additive and heating and keeping the temperature of the mixture at about 350-500 deg.C by directly heating the mixture to degrade the waste plastic, constituting the dechlorination furnace 1 and the degrading furnace 2 of a mechanically stirring means, and conveying the treated material from the dechlorination furnace 1 to the degrading furnace 2 by utilizing the gravity of the treated material by installing the dechlorination furnace 1 and the degrading furnace 2 so that both furnaces may have differences in gravitational potentials.</p> |
