PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device inexpensive and small in size, and reduce the power consumption as much as possible by thinning out lateral components of two-dimensional information, stored in a two-dimensional information memory, to the number of LED(light emitting diode) arrays. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an output control circuit consisting of a control circuit 1, an output memory 3, an address counter 4, a code converting circuit 5, and a latch circuit 6. The two-dimensional information is read out of the two-dimensional information memory 2 and allocated to a two-dimensional display 8, arrayed LEDs arrays output information on the longitudinal components of the two-dimensional information at the same time, and supplementary information on the lateral components of the two-dimensional information is shifted in order and outputted corresponding to the number of bits corresponding to the LED array intervals. The two-dimensional information stored in the two-dimensional information memory 2 has its lateral components thinned out to the number of the LED arrays, so the number of the LED arrays can be made less than that when the two-dimensional information is outputted by LEDs in two dimensions at the same time.
