PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic clay sinterable at low temperature, usable in a hobby ceramic art or accessory production work, sintered and densified keeping the form of the formed article by baking at a low temperature of $900 deg.C with a simple nichrome wire electric furnace to give various ceramics resistant to the softening and deformation at 1200 deg.C or above. SOLUTION: A water-containing kneaded mixture or dry powder composed mainly of fine powder mixture containing 62-82wt.% of kaolin or clay composed of kaolinite or halloysite in terms of ignited anhydrous state, 18-38wt.% of fine calcium carbonate powder having an average particle diameter of <= 1.5μm in terms of ignited weight of CaO and 1-30wt.% of a borosilicate glass powder can easily be sintered and densified to a water-absorption of almost zero by heating the molded article of the mixture at a relatively low temperature, i.e. $900 deg.C to give a stable ceramic resistant to the softening and deformation and keeping the shape at a temperature as high as 1200 deg.C. A wide variety of colored inorganic compounds can be used as the pigment in the case of burning at $900'C to give an extremely colorful plastic clay mixture sinterable at a low temperature and enabling the burning together with a metal such as silver and nickel.
