PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a recording medium utilizing the film cast method in which a non-air-permable material as a base for the recording medium can be used. SOLUTION: A base composed of resin or having a resin film on its surface and provided with breathing pores effective for evaporating a solvent content in a coating liquid layer is used in the drying process in the film cast method in which an ink acceptive layer is formed on the base, a coating liquid containing silica, a binder and a solvent is prepared, the coating liquid is applied on the ink acceptive layer of the base, a film with a smooth surface is overlapped on the coated layer and bonded thereon, the coating liquid layer is dried to form a gloss layer and the film is released and removed from the gloss layer. |
