PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtian a new DNA coding a protein containing a specific base sequence and capable of reacting with the serum of an acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) patient and useful for the development of a sure HIV screening technique, the sure diagnosis of an AIDS-causing virus, etc. SOLUTION: This DNA codes a protein containing a base sequence selected from the group consists of base sequence of formula I, formula II, etc., its fragment or a new DNA hybridized with the DNA under a stringent condition, and is useful for the development of the sure screening technique for HIV(human Immunodeficiency Virus), the sure diagnosis of a new AIDS-caused virus, etc. The DNA is obtained by closing by a PCR reaction using a cDNA induced from the blood of an AIDS patient with a reverse transcriptase as a template and further using the oligonucleotide of the regulation region of HIV-2 as a primer. |
