PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding an instrument panel which can not only prevent the surface of a panel main body from being damaged but conduct the positioning of the panel main body and improve the dimensional precision of a product without tumbling a skin edge part. SOLUTION: A method for molding an instrument panel 50 sets a panel main body on the mold face 12 of a cope 11 and a skin 40 in which an edge part 41 is raised to a backside and formed on the mold face of a drag 21, supports the outer surface of the edge part 41 by a support member 25 installed in the drag, brings down the support member 25 when a mold is closed, and forms foam 52 which is integrated with the panel main body and the skin 40 by expanding a foaming material between the recessed part of the panel main body and the skin 40. In this method, when the mold is closed, the support member 25 is brought down without tumbling the edge part 41 and without contacting the surface of the panel main body 30. |
