PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain lead monoxide fine particles easily crushable for mixing and excellent in sintering property at a high temperature by collecting a white precipitate of lead carbonate generated by reacting ammonium hydrogen carbonate with lead nitrate by filtering and burning at a low temperature under an atmosphere without containing oxygen after drying the precipitate. SOLUTION: The lead monoxide fine particles are produced by (1) a first step of reacting by adding an aqueous solution of lead nitrate into an aqueous solution of ammonium hydrogen carbonate to collect the white powder of the produced lead carbonate by filtering and then drying the precipitate, and (2) a second step of burning the lead carbonate obtained by the first process at a low temperature of <=550 deg.C under a nitrogen or an argon atmosphere not containing oxygen. The crystal form of the obtained lead monoxide is a litharge, and the particle diameters are <=1μm in primary particles and <=4μm in secondary particles. |
