PURPOSE: To surely detect insufficient insertion of a terminal metal fixture into a terminal housing by installing a movable detecting arm, and obstructing a move of a cover from a closing position to an opening position caused by bending produced by contact of a detecting projection part with a part-to-be-detected. CONSTITUTION: A connector 23 comprises a housing 27 in which a terminal metal fixture 25 to be connected to a terminal part 97 of a board 95 is housed, a cover 31 capable of opening/closing a contact part 29 of the metal fixture 25, and a retainer 33 which comes in contact with the rear end of the metal fixture 25 and obstructs the coming out. A plurality of terminal housings 39 are formed in a housing 35, and the metal fixture 25 is housed therein. In the metal fixture 25, an additional fastening part 43 connected to the end of an electric wire W for additional fastening, the contact part 29 bringing into contact with the terminal part of the board, and a part-to-be- detected 45 formed between the additional fastening part 43 and the contact part 29 are integrally formed. An engaging part 45a is formed on the side end, on the additional fastening part 43 side, of the part-to-be-detected 45, and a detecting projection part 89 of the retainer 33 is brought into contact with the engaging part 45a to obstruct coming out of the metal fixture 25 from the housing 39.
