PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound comprising a specific protonionizing macrocyclic compound, having a convertible ionizing proton, capable of separating an ion selected in multiion solution and useful for recov ery, etc., of the objective metal ion. SOLUTION: This new proton ionizing macrocyclic compound is represented by formula I (n) is an integer of 1-4; R is a CXH2 X+1 [(x) is an integer of 6-18] and is capable of separating an ion selected in multiion solution from the other plural ions and used in respectively recovering and/or separating waste liquid, precipitate, a metal ion in an industrial solution, especially lithium, sodium, potassium or recovering silver from an emulsion in the case of photograph and X ray film. The compound is obtained by reacting an oligoethylene glycol represented by formula II with phosphoryl chloride and treating the produced crude chloride of formula III with water in dioxane. |
