PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet device with higher resolution. SOLUTION: An improved continuous linear array ink jet device makes a prescribed amount of a printing fluid of at least one color adhere to a linear array of picture elements with high resolution. The continuous ink jet device has the linear array of orifices connected to a source of a fluid to generate the linear array of jets. The jets are stimulated to divide them systematically into multiple even droplet streams. The linear array of flat conductive elements 12 positioned along the motion route of a jet array make printing droplets 16 deviate to at least two printing positions.
