PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior type filter kit for vacuum cleaner exhaust outlet applicable to existing vacuum cleaners or those to be sold in future, which can effectively reduce dust contained in exhausted air, and to provide its installing method and a vacuum cleaner with the kit. SOLUTION: An exterior type filter kit for vacuum cleaner exhaust outlet is made of unwoven fabric, whose average pore diameter is 10-300μm, apparent density is 0.001-0.05g/cm<3> , and surface density is 50-500g/m<3> . And the kit is composed of a filter 1 capable of covering an exhaust port 4 of a vacuum cleaner 3, and a connecting member 2 capable of connecting the filter 1 to the exhaust port 4.
