摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner having high coloring power which covers a wide dynamic range from low density to high density, having high chroma and luminosity, excellent transparency for an OHP, excellent dispersibility of a coloring agent and high resistance against light, and showing a tone which matches with a magenta of a process color ink by incorporating a binder resin and a specified quinacridon pigment which has plural peaks in a specified range in a X-ray diffraction spectrum. SOLUTION: The toner contains a binder resin and a quinacridon having two peaks in 5 to 10 deg. of Bragg angle 2θrange in a X-ray diffraction spectrum. This quinacridon pigment contains a mixture of two compds. expressed by formulae. Namely, by using two compds. having a g-type crystalline structure to product the pigment, the quinacridon pigment is sufficiently dispersed in the magenta toner. Therefore, the obtd. image shows good hue and excellent color reproducibility.</p>
