With the suggested system, automatic turning off and on of the engine of a car is achieved according to the position of the clutch pedal, the handbreak and the engine's RPM rate. The system comprises two sensors (on - off switches) placed on the clutch and handbreak, a circuit which changes its state (high - low) according to the engine's RPM, a combination of digital electronic circuits processing the data from the sensors and a series of relays two of which control the ignition and the starter of the car. With the system in use, when the clutch pedal is not depressed, the handbreak pulled and the engine's RPM below a certain level (approx. 1500 RPM) the engine stops. The engine starts when the clutch pedal is depressed. |
