Coffee extract evacuated drying process and assembly

In a drying process for especially an agricultural crop, such as coffee (3)extract, with a high moisture content and containing volatile substances, the novelty is that: (a) the product is held in an enclosed drying chamber (6) and heated, releasing steam and other gaseous substances; (b) the heated emissions recirculate within a closed system, passing en route through an adsorption agent (e.g. zeolite cartridge (1) which only takes up the steam droplets and not the volatile substances; (c) after first charging the drying chamber with the product, the drying chamber is first exhausted of air before the heating process commences; (d) the forced circulation of the emissions cools the adsorption agent. Also claimed is an assembly with a drying chamber (6), a zeolite cartridge insert (1), a stack (2) of coffee extract (3), a steam-resistant blower (4), a vacuum pump (5), an inspection window (7) and hatch (8), a manometer (9) and temperature sensor (10).
