The switch is incorporated in the housing wall (10) of the electrical device, with the switch housing containing cooperating stationary and movable contacts, with the switch movement of the switch operating element (12) acting on a switch spring via an intermediate element. The intermediate element is displaced longitudinally within the switch housing and cooperates with a perpendicular projection (25) of the switch operating element for operation of the switch spring, its longitudinal movement guide via a guide groove formed in the wall of the switch housing.
