The present invention concerns a door or window element, preferably for the walls of a container intended for use as an office and/or housing. The inventive element comprises a frame (1) for at least one door or window component (2a) to be mounted thereon such as a leaf or wing of a pivot-hung door or window or something similar, and a sunshade interlocked with the door or window element and mounted removably thereon by means of a built-in securing device inside the frame (1) of said window element (2a). The frame (1) is so designed as to limit both the contour of the window component to be mounted thereon (2a) and, beyond that, the contour intended for receiving the removeable sunshade; and the upper frame limit (4') consists of a cross-profile (4) intended for use as a separator between the area for receiving the sunshade and that provided for incorporating the window component (2a).
