PURPOSE: To prevent erroneous detection of fully charged state by a constitution wherein the charging current is not detected when a power consumption decision means determines a high power consumption state but detected when a high power consumption state is detected thereby preventing fluctuation of charging current. CONSTITUTION: Variation in the resistance of a temperature detection element 23 is utilized to decide whether a portable telephone body 10 is loaded to a charger 30. Various serial code data outputted from an internal circuit 11 is utilized to determine various communication state of the portable telephone body 10. When the communication state is currently busy, it means high power consumption and the charging current is not detected. Under other communication state, intermittent receiving process proceeds with low power consumption and the charging current is detected stably. Since the fluctuation is suppressed in the charging current detected under that state, erroneous detection of full- charged state can be eliminated. |
