Simple process locally recovering valuable high grade energy from prolific sources of used oil

The process puts used oil to good use, by conversion into energy. The improvement involves direct use as fuel in a heat engine (38), once cleaned mechanically. Also claimed is equipment to carry out the process described. A heated tank (14) preheats the used oil. Mechanical cleaning follows, the equipment comprising a separator (22) and filter (26). A device (28, 42) at the outlet of the filter doses a combustion-enhancing additive. The unit is completed by a heat engine, fuelled by the product.
