PURPOSE: To provide a polymer composition comprising a poly-γ-glutamic acid as a component, a molding, such as a fiber or a film, made from the composition and having practical properties and a method for molding the composition. CONSTITUTION: This polymer composition contains a poly-γ-glutamic acid, a graft copolymer of a poly-γ-glutamic acid with acrylonitrile or an acrylic copolymer containing at least 85wt.% acrylonitrile and a polyacrylonitrile or an acrylic copolymer containing at least 85wt.% acrylonitrile. The polymer molding is produced by solidifying the polymer composition by spinning or other molding processes.
