The inverter control circuit of a high frequency heater is capable of determining a turning-on time of a switching element by detecting a resonant frequency, thus to make the switching frequency operated at the higher band than the resonant frequency irrespective of the variation of frequency. As a result, the switching operation of the inverter can be stabilized in more wide range. The inverter control circuit comprises an inverter driver for driving the switching element of the inverter, a current detector for detecting whether a common AC power applied to the inverter is normal, a microcomputer for performing operation for the output of the current detector to output a turning-on time determining value, a resonant frequency detector for detecting the resonant frequency of the inverter, and a driving controller for outputting a driving control signal for an optimal stabilized switching to the inverter driver.
