The additional heating control method of a microwave oven comprises the steps of: setting a strength of an output by kinds of cooking, if the cooking is completed; setting an additional heating coefficient by kinds of cooking; multiplying total cooking time by the additional heating coefficient to calculate the additional heating time; displaying the calculated additional heating time; and progressing the additional heating, if a cooking start key is input before a time set for displaying the additional heating time has lapsed, and cancelling the additional heating setting, if there is no the cooking star key.
