The humidity sensor read time control method of a microwave oven comprises the steps of: reading a humidity value in a timing where a high frequency of a magnetron is not oscillated and then, standing by during an oscillation stability time, respectively setting a quarter phase and three quarters phase in one period to the first read time and the second read time, and reading the humidity value every first read time according to an outside interrupt to calculate an average value every given number of times, upon starting the cooking; setting the first average value to the average value, comparing the average value and the reference value and then, deciding the first read time as a noise period to clear the reference value, the average value and a decision time, and changing the humidity sensor read time to the second read time to repeat the above step, if the difference therebetween is more than a standard value; comparing the average value and the reference value and then renewing the reference value to then average value to repeat the above step during the decision time, if the difference therebetween is less than the fixed standard value; and deciding then read time to the humidity sensor read time, and completing the read time decision, if the fixed decision time is completed.
