The environmentally friendly stove has its stove body (1) on a pedestal (so) like a conventional tiled stove, with a ledge (ba), a jacket (ma) and fascia (si). It also has at least one tile which can be heated independently of the firing of the stove. The tiles for this purpose are of a special design. There should also be at least one tile which cannot be thus heated. The ones which can be heated may contain heat energy dispensers behind then, firmly embedded in a fireclay mass. The heat energy dispensers may be in the form of heating tubes made of stainless steel.
