An apparatus for collecting the condensate in gas streams includes a housing (2) with at least one inlet (1) and one outlet (7), a filter element (3) which communicates with the inlet (1), at least one condensate trap (4) with a condensate outlet (5), and a condensate removal device (10). The condensate trap (4) communicates with the filter element (3). Also claimed is a separator for liquids in which the apparatus is used.
