Fire-resistant ventilation pipeline end cover

The end cover has a dished end plate (11) with a peripheral contour corresponding to that of the pipeline (12), partially fitted within the latter and a closure (13) within the dished end plate, displaced in response to a fire by a fire- resistant mass (14) which foams and expands upon application of heat. The end plate has a manually-operated fixing device (15) allowing it to be secured to the pipeline after insertion in the latter, via a spring element (16) expanded by rotating a screw mechanism (17).
