The strip forming a grip for the handle of a racket is held by a frame (1) which is joined to the end of the handle (5). The frame has two flaps (2,2') which are articulated round axles (3,3'). When the flaps are closed their ends (2b,2b') are clipped together to hold the upper end of the strip (8). A projection (9) on the lateral part of one flap clips into a corresponding groove (10) in the opposite part of the other flap. A stud on the end of one flap can clip into a hole in the opposite flap.
