The hydraulic shock absorber consists of a hollow, fluid-filled cylinder (1) inside which is a piston dividing it into two compartments (1a,1b) connected by a connection. Two valves (5d,5g) are joined to the fluid connection. A pre-tensioning device adjusts the second valve (5g). The first valve (5d) has a through-hole (503) on the piston (5) and connected to the fluid flow-path. The hole is enclosed by a first arm with a first surface against which the first, elastics valve (5d) rests.
