<p>A status monitoring circuit for use in telephone equipment having spontaneous call waiting identification (SCWID) capabilities. The circuit is used in an adjunct connected between a communicationsline and a communications subscriber's customer premise equipment (CPE). The circuit senses the status of the series connected CPE, i.e. telephone, that is, as to whether the telephone is on-hook or off-hook. The circuit also senses when a ringing signal is being applied to the series connected telephone.</p> |
