The grill cooking control method of a microwave oven capable of controlling an automatic cooking through a grill cooking function and a humidity sensing, comprises the steps of: driving a heater upon a grill cooking, and checking th completion of the cooking time while processing a fixed humidity sensing completion time and a grill cooking time, thereby controlling the completion of the cooking; presetting a humidity sensor, and sensing that the humidity sensor reaches a saturation, in case that the cooking time is not completed; setting a normal operation of the heater and completing an operation examination to perform the normal grill cooking control, if the saturation of the humidity sensor is sensed before the humidity sensing completion time; and deciding an error of the heater or a relay to cancel the cooking, if the saturation of the humidity sensor is not detected till the humidity sensing completion time has lapsed.
