<p>A device for performing electronic and mutual bank clearing between users thereof comprises the following members: an information input unit (1) for the user; a user identification unit (2); a unit (3) for generating information concerning the transactions; a unit (4) for generating an electronic digital signature; a unit (5) for checking said electronic digital signature; a transaction executing unit (6); a display unit (7); and a memory unit (8). The user's password code is introduced into the user identification unit (2), while financial data concerning the user as well as his public key are introduced into the unit (3) for generating information concerning the transactions. The maximum purchase amount is introduced into the transaction executing unit (6), while the user's secret key is introduced into the unit (4) for generating an electronic digital signature. The public key of the bank is introduced into the unit (5) for checking the electronic digital signature, while the secret key of the whole system is stored in the unit (4) for generating an electronic digital signature as well as in the unit (5) for checking said electronic digital signature. The memory unit (8) of the device finally comprises information concerning the buy- and sell-type transactions performed by a user during a predetermined time interval, wherein said information is transferred to the bank once this time interval has elapsed.</p> |
