A system and method for effecting alternate billing arrangements after a call from a subscriber (101) to a called party (106) has been completed. The subscriber (101) and called party (106) are connected to EOs (112 and 114) which each comprises a hybrid (202 or 204), DTMF detector (222), and switch matrix (211 or 215), respectively. Each of IXCs contains one of RCPs (231-235). Additionally, a DTMF detector (302) connected to the link (312) for collecting touch tone digits generated by the calling party (106). Further, the communications between the called party (106) and the subscriber (101) is linked through IXCs switches via the links of (312, 313, 314, 315 and 316). Call record and billing processors (240) are connected to all of RCPs. A database (134) is connected to a signaling/control network (132) wherein, in turn, connected to all EOs. |
