A method for making nonwoven material containing polyolefin filaments and having an increased degree of opacity, characterized in that at least about 25% of the total weight of the filaments in the nonwoven web are polyolefin filaments that have a delta " DELTA " or diamond cross-sectional configuration, an initial spun denier not exceeding about 24 dpf, and a final drawn denier of not less than about 1 dpf is disclosed. |
